Lobularia maritima - Clear Crystal White

Fresh, frothy, and sweetly fragrant, Lobularia maritima ‘Clear Crystal White’ is one of those wonderfully generous little plants that make everything around it look more finished, more romantic, and more alive. Its masses of sparkling white blooms spill over the plant in soft, snowy clusters, creating a good, airy effect along edges, pathways, containers, window boxes, and cottage garden borders. The flowers are larger than typical sweet alyssum, giving this charming annual an especially lush, cloud-like presence.

Also known as White Sweet Alyssum, ‘Clear Crystal White’ stays beautifully low at about 4 to 8 inches tall, making it perfect for tucking into small spaces, softening the feet of taller plants, or weaving a fragrant white ribbon through sunny plantings. Bees and beneficial insects adore the tiny blooms, and gardeners love how easily it fills in with fresh color, gentle fragrance, and nonstop garden charm. Use it as a living mulch beneath taller annuals, or let it mingle with zinnias, violas, snapdragons, calendula, herbs, and patio flowers for a soft, pollinator-friendly planting that feels effortless and abundant.

Plant Lobularia maritima ‘Clear Crystal White’ in sun to part sun with regular water. Trim lightly if plants need refreshing, and they will often bounce back with another flush of bloom. Sweet, useful, and endlessly pretty, this alyssum is a classic finishing touch for containers, borders, and fragrant little garden moments. Explore more seasonal favorites in our Annuals collection.
