The FANATEC Quick Release 2 Wheel Side (QR2_WS) is a motorsport-derived quick release adapter designed for professional sim racing applications. Originally developed for the 2022 BMW M4 GT3 race car, this unit is constructed entirely from diecast aluminum with a CNC-machined black anodized finish for maximum durability. Its tapered, self-aligning design utilizes a spring-loaded locking pin mechanism to ensure a rigid, zero-play connection between the steering wheel and the wheel base.
Key Features
- Motorsport Grade Construction: Manufactured from diecast aluminum with a CNC-machined finish, optimized from real-world racing requirements.
- Precision Locking Mechanism: Features a spring-loaded locking pin system and tapered shape that naturally ensures a tight fit without additional adjustments.
- Seamless Connectivity: securely transfers both power and data from the wheel base to the steering wheel.
- Hot-Swap Capability: Allows for the changing of steering wheels without the need to restart the simulator.
- Fast Attachment: Designed for super-fast attachment to the base without needing to touch the spring-loaded sleeve mechanism.
Technical Specifications
- Compatibility: Connects to all QR2 Base-Side variants and supports specific Fanatec Steering Wheels (e.g., CSL, ClubSport, and Podium series).
- Material: Diecast aluminum with black anodized finish.
- Weight: 470g.
- Dimensions: 97 mm (L) x 173 mm (W) x 130 mm (H).
