Zinnia elegans - Zowie! Yellow Flame

Wildly bright, totally joyful, and absolutely impossible to ignore, Zinnia elegans ‘Zowie Yellow Flame’ is a full-on garden celebration. Each bloom opens with a glowing magenta-rose center that flares into golden-yellow petal tips, creating a two-toned, firework-bright effect that looks like summer decided to throw a parade. Bold, playful, and wonderfully over-the-top, this zinnia brings instant excitement to sunny borders, cutting gardens, containers, pollinator plantings, and anywhere the garden could use a little extra sparkle.

This easy annual grows about 24 to 30 inches tall and makes a fabulous showpiece for gardeners who love saturated color, long-lasting flowers, and big personality. The blooms are excellent for fresh bouquets, where their carnival-bright colors add instant drama and cheer. In the garden, they pair beautifully with purple salvias, orange marigolds, lime foliage, sunflowers, ornamental grasses, blue flowers, and other hot-season annuals for a lively, high-summer palette that feels bold, abundant, and full of motion.

Plant Zinnia elegans ‘Zowie Yellow Flame’ in full sun with regular water. Cut flowers often or deadhead spent blooms to keep the show going through the warm season. Bees and butterflies happily visit the flowers, adding even more life to this already dazzling display. Big, bright, and fantastically fun, this zinnia brings serious garden sparkle, bouquet-worthy color, and pure summer exuberance. Explore more bright, beautiful favorites in our Zinnia collection.
