Aquilegia caerulea - Krystal

Elegant, airy, and luminous, Aquilegia 'Krystal' is a graceful white columbine that brings a cool sparkle to the spring garden. Its long-spurred white flowers seem to hover like tiny garden lanterns above soft, ferny foliage, adding a refined, romantic touch to woodland gardens, cottage borders, lightly shaded beds, and pollinator-friendly plantings. Lovely, delicate, and full of spring charm, this easy-care perennial is especially beautiful where its bright blooms can glow in morning sun or filtered shade.

Growing approximately 18 to 24 inches tall and 18 to 24 inches wide, Aquilegia 'Krystal' forms a soft, clump-forming presence that fits beautifully along pathways, under open-branched shrubs, in containers, or tucked among spring bulbs and shade-loving perennials. Its white flowers pair wonderfully with blue forget-me-nots, purple violas, native iris, foxgloves, heucheras, ferns, meadow rue, and other woodland-style plants that create a layered, softly romantic garden scene.

Plant Aquilegia 'Krystal' in rich, well-drained soil with regular moisture and morning sun or bright filtered shade. Refined but never fussy, this white columbine rewards gardeners with graceful spring flowers, soft foliage, and steady appeal for bees, butterflies, and other pollinators.
