Sedum - Lime Zinger

Sedum 'Lime Zinger' is the kind of perennial that refuses to blend into the background. Its vivid lime-green leaves are boldly edged in cherry-red, creating a colorful display that looks fresh from spring through frost. By late summer, clusters of rosy-pink flowers rise above the foliage, adding another layer of charm while inviting bees and butterflies to stop by for a snack. Bright, cheerful, and wonderfully low-maintenance, this eye-catching stonecrop brings playful energy to sunny borders, rock gardens, slopes, and containers.

Reaching about 4-6 inches tall and spreading 18-24 inches wide, Sedum 'Lime Zinger' forms a dense, colorful mat that makes an excellent groundcover or edging plant. It happily spills over retaining walls, softens pathways, and fills gaps between stepping stones with vibrant foliage. Pair it with the deep purple leaves of Heuchera, the blue blooms of Salvia, ornamental grasses, or sunny yellow Coreopsis for a combination that practically high-fives every passerby.

Plant Sedum 'Lime Zinger' in full sun for the brightest foliage color, though it tolerates light afternoon shade in hotter climates. Once established, it needs very little water and thrives in well-drained soil, making it an easy choice for busy gardeners and anyone who's accidentally forgotten to water... again. Tough, colorful, and delightfully carefree, this perennial proves that being low-maintenance is a personality trait worth celebrating. Explore even more sun-loving favorites in our Sedum Collection.
